Rochester has a rich LGBTQ+ history and community. Many resources are available to those looking for them! Feel free to contact us at info@transallianceroc.com and we can do our best to point you towards resources in the community. The resources below are not affiliated with TAGR, however we support their mission to create a strong queer community and provide resources for the queer community!

Gennessee Valley Gender Variants (GV²)
Gennessee Valley Gender Variants (GV²) is a long standing social group for Trans+ individuals. They meet each Thursday from 7-9pm at Equal Grounds Coffee House. Come and hang with your Trans+ community!

Next Generation Men of Transition (NGMT)
Next Generation Men of Transition (NGMT) is a primarily Black and Brown Trans-Masculine group in Rochester. They host group meetings (in-person and on Zoom), panels, forumns, and other social/educational resources. They are also heavily involved in activism for the queer community around Rochester. WAVE Women Inc.
W.A.V.E. (Wellness, Advocacy, Visibility & Empowerment) is a Black Trans-Feminine group in Rochester. Their focus is advocacy, empowerment, and education for the commonly underserved BIPOC Trans community. Rochester Rainbow Union (RRU)
RRU is an all inclusive LGBTQ+ group which plans many social events and support groups for the queer community. Their community space gives space for queer groups around Rochester to meet. They host the Lilac Library, a library focused on queer literature. As part of their Lilac Library, they have the Gender Affirming Closet, stocking clothes, binders, breast buds, and trans tape. Mocha Center (Trillium Health)
The Mocha Center is a group formed by Trillium Health to empower LGBTQ+ Communities of Color. They primarily focus on providing resources for sexual health, however they also frequently put on events. Find out more at https://www.facebook.com/TheMochaCenterRochester/about.

Rochester LGBTQ+ Together
Rochester LGBTQ+ Together is a volunteer-led grassroots organization providing programming and resources for the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
